Description

Objective:

To provide students with an introduction to the main features of the Pl/SQL language to aid students in developing effective programming habits and coding styles.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define Pl/S!L and how it differs from SQL
  • Describe, invoke, and use the Oracle Procedure Builder
  • Describe PL/SQL's block structure and its three components
  • Create variables and constants in PL/SQL, and assign values to them
  • Control program flow using loops and if-then logic
  • Handle errors using the EXCEPTION block in PL/SQL
  • Create cursors to handle multiple-row queries
  • Write stored, named procedures, functions, and database triggers
  • Pass parameters to a procedure
  • Use the Oracle DE
