The American Council on Education (ACE) has supported its members for more than a century—and will continue to do so as higher education experiences rapid and far-reaching transformation. Membership matters now more than ever.
Lead and learn in challenging times
In unprecedented times, ACE has supported higher education leaders by providing essential resources on COVID-19; mental health; diversity, equity, and inclusion; and other critical issues.
Since the pandemic began, we have offered numerous webinars, workshops, and podcasts to help leaders transition to online teaching and advising, plan for reopening, support students' mental health, respond to financial challenges, and promote civic engagement. We continue to assist with these issues and others that arise as our member institutions recover and resume in-person learning.
ACE's monthly Public Policy Pop-Up webinars provide higher education leaders with timely updates on federal policy developments affecting higher education. With its recurring
Pulse Point surveys, ACE has compiled a record of how leaders are responding to the changing higher education landscape.
Speak with a strong, collective voice
As a member, you help influence higher education policy. With over 1,700 member colleges, universities, and higher education associations, ACE coordinates higher education’s advocacy efforts to inform all three branches of government about the needs of colleges and universities and our students. Recently, ACE has tackled issues on multiple critical fronts, including COVID-19 relief, Title IX, DACA and Dreamers, doubling the Pell, and more.
Innovate and connect
ACE continues to innovate with its collaborative communities and professional development programs, such as the
ACE Transformation Labs,
ACE Fellows Program,
ACE Learning Circles, and
ACE Women's Network. And ACE offers numerous opportunities to learn, connect, and engage with peers through workshops, webinars, and the Annual Meeting.
