ACE has partnered with Rick Staisloff, founder and senior partner at rpk GROUP to deliver a Strategic Finance Learning Studio experience through ACE Engage®. Engage users can dive deep or just dip a toe in Staisloff's Mission, Market, and Margin® approach to building sustainable business models through a series of videos and happy hours, an intensive workshop, and the opportunity to join a community of practice.

Join Staisoff and special guests for informal virtual happy hours on Engage every Thursday at 6 p.m. EDT through Sept. 10. Each happy hour will provide a casual and interactive opportunity to explore a different theme related to strategic finance. The first happy hour took place last week, where Staisloff and attendees discussed the meaning and connotations of “strategic finance," its connection to student success, and the opportunity that the COVID-19 crisis presents to rethink budgets in terms of institutional missions and priorities. Register now for the upcoming happy hours on Aug. 13, Aug. 20, and Aug. 27.
In September, Staisloff will offer an intensive, participatory Strategic Finance Learning Studio workshop consisting of three sixty-minute sessions over the course of three weeks, with optional assignments between sessions. The workshop will be delivered through Zoom, Google Docs, and Mural, a virtual whiteboard platform. Registration opens Aug. 7.
Lastly, Staisloff and the ACE Engage team will facilitate a Strategic Finance Learning Studio: Community of Practice where members will support and learn from a trusted group of other leaders as they build and refine the sustainable business models required to fulfill higher education's potential. Applications to join the community of practice open Sept. 9, with priority going to those who completed the workshop.

This Strategic Finance Learning Studio is the first of ACE Engage's Learning Studios designed to connect higher education leaders with experts on strategically critical topics. Stay tuned for future studios, each of which will contain a mix of short-form content introducing key trends and promising practices, informal opportunities to discuss issues with peers moderated by thought leaders, workshops led by top experts to go deeper and develop action plans, and communities of practice through which both new and experienced leaders share experiences and solve problems together.
