Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide students with the information and needed skills that will afford for proper handling, care, and training of canines for narcotics detection.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Demonstrate officer safety techniques while utilizing their canine
  • Care for and provide proper treatment to their canine partner
  • Demonstrate proper disciplinary methods to maximize use of the canine
  • Ensure a passive response to alerts to protect property and evidence
