Description

Objective:

To train the student to weld pipe using the shielded metal arc welding process.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the use of various welding rods
  • Identify the voltage/amperage/polarity to use with welding rods, joint configuration for welding procedures
  • Demonstrate welding in the horizontal, vertical and overhead positions
