Description

Objective:

The course objective is to assess a student's performance and competence against the standards of the Federal Senior Executive Service (SES). The course provides an essential gauge of a participant's Senior Executive performance potential and readiness to be successful in the Executive selection process, including interviewing and obtaining Senior Executive certification/approval.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Assess potential for entry into the Senior Executive Service (SES) against the OPM SES Full Performance Criteria
  • Understand the qualifications for and demands of the SES
  • Write clear and compelling narratives for the SES Qualifications Review Board
  • Field and answer competency-based interview questions
  • Make an informed choice about whether the SES is the best career fit based on work values and individual passion
  • Formulate and generate a Leadership Development Plan (LDP) to increase their readiness to enter the SES and to increase success in their current position
