In this course, students integrate, synthesize, and apply the knowledge, skills, and perspectives acquired throughout the EFO Program and demonstrate mastery of research writing elements.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe course expectations and key aspects of the research process, including the principles of research ethics, to prepare for developing an EFO Capstone Research Paper (CRP)
  • Compose a Capstone Research Paper (CRP) topic proposal, including a potential worldview and general research methods
  • Develop the first chapter of the Capstone Research Paper (CRP) proposal, which will provide a comprehensive introduction to a chosen research topic, including the relevant background information and rationale for the proposed study
  • Develop the second chapter of the Capstone Research Paper (CRP) proposal, which will identify and assess peer-reviewed articles related to a chosen research topic
  • Develop the third chapter of the Capstone Research Paper (CRP) proposal, including the chosen methodology, research instruments, participant inclusion criteria, and ethical research considerations
  • Compose a formal proposal for the Capstone Research Paper (CRP)
