Description

Objective:

The course objective is to enable Field Trainers to teach the identified Pre/Post Academy tasks to field trainees and to prepare them to properly manage the Pre/Post Academy courses.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Implement a structured and monitored program that covers the period between academy graduation and the 18th month of employment (at a minimum).
  • Employ classroom reviews, on-the-job training (OJT) and graded practical exercises with more emphasis placed on actual job performance.
  • Utilize the intranet to monitor and track post academy progress at a national level. Trainees are graded on their ability to perform job functions and provided remediation as needed. If a trainee fails a set number of retests, they will be terminated.
  • Implement grading within a pass/fail structure similar to the basic academy.
  • Be able to follow the curriculum as written to include all instructor-led modules, on-the-job training modules and working periods of designated length. Modifications will compromise the legal defensibility of the curriculum and Field Operations’ ability to hold trainees accountable for job performance
