Learning Outcomes: Implement a structured and monitored program that covers the period between academy graduation and the 18th month of employment (at a minimum). Employ classroom reviews, on-the-job training (OJT) and graded practical exercises with more emphasis placed on actual job performance. Utilize the intranet to monitor and track post academy progress at a national level. Trainees are graded on their ability to perform job functions and provided remediation as needed. If a trainee fails a set number of retests, they will be terminated. Implement grading within a pass/fail structure similar to the basic academy. Be able to follow the curriculum as written to include all instructor-led modules, on-the-job training modules and working periods of designated length. Modifications will compromise the legal defensibility of the curriculum and Field Operations’ ability to hold trainees accountable for job performance General Topics: Course overview Pre-academy curriculum overview CBP officer basic training curriculum Post-academy curriculum overview Adult learning principles Instructor professionalism for field trainers Instructor led training 10 minute instructor led training Student management Administering end of module evaluations Training records and files Web based training Training management systems Training management systems graded P.E Simulation administration 30 minute instructor led training Drill and ceremonies presentation Instruction & Assessment Section 4 Content Section 4 Content Left Section 4 Content Right Instructional Strategies: Audio Visual Materials Classroom Exercise Computer Based Training Discussion Learner Presentations Lectures Practical Exercises Methods of Assessment: Examinations Performance Rubrics (Checklists) Presentations Supplemental Materials Section 5 Content Section 5 Content Left Section 5 Content Right Equivalencies Section 6 Content Section 6 Content Left Section 6 Content Right Button Content Rail Content 1 Other offerings from U.S. Customs and Border Protection View All Courses College Credit Opportunities> Page Content
