Description

Program Description:

The first part of the Apprenticeship program is six weeks (240 hours) of training. Our training program is designed to produce measurable results and is always performance based. This is done using blended methods of training. The training timeframe is four weeks of blended instruction and two weeks of Learning Lab (on the job) with trainer and mentor available.

The remainder of the Apprentice program, 2100-2500 hours, is on the job training that ensues over the course of 1-2 years.

Program Objective:

The Short Term Disability Analyst, primarily investigates claims to determine if the insured person qualifies for STD benefits and works with them on a treatment plan to return to work as soon as responsibly possible. The Short Term Disability Analyst supports our mission of helping our customers rebuild their lives after an unexpected event or illness happens while following corporate claim standards, policies and procedures, and statutory, regulatory and ethics requirements.

  • describe the fundamental principles of a business in the areas of accounting, business law, economics, finance, management, marketing, and ethics
  • apply various means to identify and resolve conflicts between parties to reach a mutually acceptable position
  • apply interpersonal skills, research in various areas, counseling, negotiating, and arbitrating
