Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide an overview of the wastewater system to newcomers to the filed as well as experienced personnel. It includes instruction in the collection, treatment, and disposal of wastewater.This course provides participants with an introduction to wastewater collection and treatment along with a brief review of the water cycle. The course covers sources and pretreatment of domestic waste as well as characteristics of wastewater. Experienced trainers guide the class through best practices and related standards utilizing classroom discussion and cover all associated laws specific to wastewater. The successful completion of this course qualifies the student to receive 20 hours of TCEQ wastewater operators licensing credit.
