Description

Objective:

The SpaceTECr Core Certification Examination covers 93 competencies in six subject areas comprising three parts (1) a 70-question written examination; (2) a 7-question oral examination for each topic when required as a result of the written examination; and (3) a 10-exercise practical examination to demonstrate 'hands-on' skills. The written section is administered by an approved proctor using a computer-based testing protocol; the oral and practical elements are administered face-to-face by a Certified SpaceTECr Examiner (STE).

Skills Measured:

The SpaceTECr Certified Aerospace Technician - Core Certification examination is designed to verify the proficiency of technicians in 93 core competencies covering the six aerospace disciplines required for entry-level work. These disciplines are introduction to the aerospace workplace, aerospace safety, applied mechanics, basic electricity, materials and processes, tests and measurements (Note: equal weight is placed on all 6 disciplines).
