Description

Objective:

The course objective is to obtain all of the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of a Manufacturing Technician.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Employ proper lockout and tagout procedures for any machine at Shape
  • Discuss different methods of machine safeguarding and demonstrate the proper procedure for performing and documenting a part check
  • Describe the process of rollforming and basic components of a rollform line
  • Recognize the seven most commonly used tags at Shape
  • Operate the MIG and TIG welding machines safely
  • Describe the different press applications at Shape and the different components of presses
  • Explain the types of personal protective equipment (PPE) to be worn and when to wear it
  • Operate and read calipers, micrometers, and tape measures
