The tool used to ensure we reach that goal is Shape University. Shape University was established in 1996 and includes 67 instructor led in-house classes (i.e. roll forming, computer training, leadership development, technical, and manufacturing) and 83 web-based training classes as well as Tuition Reimbursement and an active Apprenticeship Program. In 2013 Shape ran 571 instructor led in-house classes for a total attendance of 6,249 associates. Web based classes provided over 16,000 additional training hours. Shape University utilizes an LMS to document and track employee training to ensure adherence for multiple audits (OSHA, ISO, TSO). Shape University consists of: Director of Training, Training Manager, Training Coordinator, and six (6) Trainers / Instructional designers.All courses are developed utilizing task analysis and adhering to the ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). Courses are revised if test item analysis reveals the course is inadequate, new technology replaces existing technology in a field (triggered by Shape University SME), or if Level I feedback shows a need to revisit the course.
