Description

Objective:

The course objective is for students to learn how to define the differences between interviewing, debriefing, tactical questioning and interrogation; how to overcome communication barriers such as biases and unintentional blindness; how to increase situational and personal awareness; how to use positive body language to look and feel confident in order to gain trust and cooperation; how to conduct non-accusatory interviews; how to diffuse arguments and aggression; how to go from denials to confessions by assigning positive traits, building rapport and relating; how to accurately detect deceptive tells; how to detect nonverbal deceptive tells in the face by identifying facial micro-expressions and in the body by reading body language; how to recognize the breaking point in someone; how to conduct thorough statement analysis both written and spoken to detect verbal deception; how to accurately detect verbal and non-verbal deception in others during role play exercises; how to use effective question types and avoid ineffective types that lead to confusions and frustration; how to utilize enhanced questioning techniques to fully exploit truthful information; and how to use 10 elicitation techniques to elicit information, without asking questions, while concealing the objective of obtaining information in a casual conversation.
