Description

Objective:

The course objective is to empower the Managing Officer to lead in the planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of a risk reduction plan within the diverse communities they serve.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to analyze leadership skills in risk reduction to build cultural competence in personal, organizational, and community relationships
  • Conduct an assessment to prioritize risk issues impacting their service areas
  • Develop effective intervention strategies and design activities targeting specific risks with service area
  • Determine the success of the risk reduction activities
  • And present strategies for community risk reduction based on the assessed risk in the community
