Objective:

The course objective is to prepare students in becoming a certified professional in the design and deployment of applications and systems on the AWS platform.

Learning Outcomes:

  • plan and use various AWS network and security solutions
  • manage virtual machine (VM) hibernation mode, modify instance types to support workloads, and configure EC2 instance Auto Scaling
  • use AWS Backup ensure business continuity for backed-up data
  • deploy and manage DNS name resolution for AWS services, S3 buckets, objects, and storage tiers and identify when to use AWS Storage Gateway and CloudFront
  • deploy and manage Linux and Windows EC2 instances, use common remote management tools, and work with instance fleets and Lightsail
  • deploy and manage containerized applications in the AWS Cloud
  • deploy and manage AWS Directory Service solutions and various AWS network firewall solutions
  • enable business continuity using various AWS disaster recovery and high availability solutions
