Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct acceptance sampling product examination according to government regulations and commercial standards. This course focuses on how to use a Zero Based Statistical Sampling Plan and randomization to determine sample size. The outcome of this class will provide the Quality Assurance Specialist (QAS) the confidence to make the statistical determination of acceptance or rejection of product presented by the contractor.

  • identify the reasons for employing sampling inspection over screening (100%) inspection
  • use simple, systematic, cluster, and stratified sampling methods, solve for random samples
  • apply the rules for the MIL-STD-1916 sampling system
  • apply the rules for ANSI/ASQ Z1.4-2008 sampling systems
  • choose a sample that appropriately represents the population
  • recognize the common characteristics of sampling plans
  • apply the rules for zero-based acceptance sampling systems
