Objective:

The course objective is to apply the fundamentals of HRM within a variety of security programs found in DoD.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discuss application of workforce development and performance management systems to security programs and propose ways to make the systems more effective.
  • Discuss security leaders' decision making processes of Human Capital Management (HCM) planning, and evaluate HCM practices.
  • Elaborate on skills and tools for HRM decision making that are unique to DoD security program leaders in the security disciplines.
  • Evaluate legal and compliance requirements of HRM programs and how they affect DoD security programs.
  • Theorize the challenges and predict future trends in HRM finance and budget support, technology, HRM laws, and employee issues.
  • Assess DOD workforce hiring, evaluation and development processes used to build a security workforce.
