Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide students with knowledge, skills, and abilities to serve as supply chain and logistics managers supporting large and complex operations in areas such as transportation, supply, and maintenance which includes transportation operations in the various modes, inventory management, operations management and workload planning, complex decision making and communicating information and the use of logistics information management systems.

  • Justify decisions based on analytic decision-making techniques and applications
  • Describe the logistic and supply chain enterprise level operations which includes organizational roles and capabilities, decision making processes and concepts, and the supporting enterprise resource planning systems

  • Apply basic logistics management processes and concepts across the logistics enterprise with specific focus in the areas of contract management, supply chain management, maintenance management, and transportation management
