Description

Objective:

The course objective is to define the basics of abnormal psychology and the differences between normal and abnormal behavior; differentiate between the major theorists and theoretical orientations in psychology; identify the basic standards for the diagnosis and classification of major psychological disorders; recall the multiple influences of abnormal behavior as viewed from different theoretical perspectives; and recognize the diagnostic criteria applied in the intervention and prevention of abnormal behavior.
