Student Guide to Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)

Many colleges and universities award academic credit for knowledge and skills gained outside the classroom. This credit is often referred to as credit for prior learning (CPL).

For students who have participated in military service, workplace training programs, apprenticeships or other types of experiential learning, CPL is a way to bypass redundant coursework, save money and take one step closer towards graduation.
