River Valley Church is a multi-site church based in Minnesota with a mission to lead people into an authentic, life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Founded in 1995, with a global heart for impact, River Valley has a vision to send out 500 missionaries, support ministries worldwide and serve the local church with a belief that we are blessed to be a blessing.

River Valley Leadership Institute helps equip the future generation of leaders in the church. Mission by Design and Mission Residency are rigorous curriculum embedded in the year-long internship experience helping the interns learn a methodology and Jesus-centered design to advance His kingdom.

The original courses (Business by Design and Rever-in-Residence) were first established by Rêve Academy, a non-profit founded in 2010 in Minnesota to serve low-income students. In 15 years, Reve Academy served over 25,000 students, of which over 80% received free/reduced lunch. It was nationally accredited by COGNIA, articulated all outcomes to MN state CTE standards and certified by the Charities Review Council.

In 2026, the ACE credit recommendations were transitioned to River Valley Church. The methodology and curriculum were retained and adapted to be meet the needs of the RVC interns, while maintaining all of the same rigor and learning outcomes required by ACE credit recommendation.

The courses were piloted in the summer of 2026 and launched in fall of 2026.
