Description

Objective:

The course objective is to prepare students for completion of Semiconductors, Level I. This course spends a great deal of time with hands-on lab exercises utilizing the Theory Demonstrator and a digital multi-meter which is designed to thoroughly familiarize students with the necessary skills to understand how semiconductor devices function.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Explain the basic functions of diodes and rectifiers found in semiconductors
  • Understand how the following power supplies work in semiconductors: voltage, regulation, ripple voltage, full wave rectifiers, and bridge rectifier
  • List the characteristics of diodes
