Description

Objective:

The course objective is to prepare students for completion of Semiconductors, Level II. Topics of study are differential and operational amplifiers, oscillators, electronic control devices and circuits. This course offers a combination of several hands-on lab exercises to better understand Semiconductors.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Analyze JFETs, MOSFETs, and other transistor types
  • Identify differential and operational amplifiers
  • Identify oscillators
  • Demonstrate how to test SCRs with the DMM, a DIAC, and the TRIAC with the DMM
  • List different electronic control devices and circuits
  • List the different characteristics of the unijunction
