This bundle is a combination of the following courses Photovoltaics 1 and Photovoltaics 2. Photovoltaics 1 covers all aspects of PV system installations, with an emphasis on requirements of the National Electrical Code. Additional topics include principles of solar radiation, site surveys and planning, components and systems, electrical and mechanical integration, permitting utility interconnection, and operations and maintenance. Photovoltaics 2 explains in detail how the system operates and the maintenance needed in order for the system to operate properly. Students will also learn more about the batteries and charge controllers used in photovoltaic systems and will determine what size system is needed to be installed for the size of the job being completed. Learning Outcomes: Identify photovoltaic systems and the components that correspond with them Understand the fundamentals of photovoltaic devices and solar radiation Explain different photovoltaic modules and arrays Analyze the relationship between the sun and the earth Identify the different permits and inspections needed while installing a PV system Identify the proper size of a photovoltaic (PV) system according to the job List key factors involved with operating and maintaining PV systems Identify some of the batteries and charge controllers used in PV systems Analyze the economic advantages of using a PV system General Topics: Photovoltaics Advanced Courses Instruction & Assessment Section 4 Content Section 4 Content Left Section 4 Content Right Instructional Strategies: Audio Visual Materials Classroom Exercise Laboratory Lectures Practical Exercises Methods of Assessment: Examinations Quizzes Minimum Passing Score: 75% Supplemental Materials Section 5 Content Section 5 Content Left Section 5 Content Right Section 6 Content Section 6 Content Left Section 6 Content Right Button Content Rail Content 1 Other offerings from electrical training ALLIANCE 1st Year Inside Wireman Blended Learning Bundle (NJAT-0024) 1st Year Installer/Technician Bundle (NJAT-0029) 1st Year Lineman Bundle (NJAT-0106) 1st Year Residential Bundle (NJAT-0032) 1st Year Substation Blended Learning Bundle (NJAT-0080) 2nd Year Inside Wireman Blended Learning Bundle (NJAT-0025) 2nd Year Installer/Technician Bundle (NJAT-0030) 2nd Year Lineman Bundle (NJAT-0107) 2nd Year Residential Bundle (NJAT-0033) 2nd Year Substation Blended Learning Bundle (NJAT-0081) View All Courses Page Content
