Description

Objective:

To examine the fine and gross motor development in children from birth to 12 years, and to explore the positive contributions of creative play, sports and recreational activities on the physical, cognitive, social and emotional development of the child.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Appropriately modify and tailor play and recreational activities to meet the developmental needs of each individual child in a group
  • Evaluate the outcomes of the implemented program
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan a program of play and recreational activities for children in a group setting
  • Implement the program of individual and group activities in a manner consistent with the plan
