Description

Objective:

To develop a better understanding of the role of the special educator in intervention, to contribute to an understanding of the potential effects of a special educator's personal history, value system, and reference groups on professional development and practice, to understand how the context of treatment including the social networks of the client and the environmental setting within which the implementation occurs can affect intervention outcomes, to familiarize the student teacher with a variety of treatment modalities, to learn to develop and evaluate a beginning intervention plan.
