Description

Objective:

To examine the major philosophical and mystical themes in the rabbinic metaphorical interpretation of the Song of Songs; particular emphasis on the first chapter with the commentary of the Vilna Gaon. Reference will be made to Talmudic and Midrashic sources as well as major medieval and modern Jewish thinkers.
