Objective:

The course objective is to provide an introduction to the occupational safety and health field with a focus on safety responsibilities at the supervisory and managerial levels.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Discuss safety principles and occupational safety and health administration history
  • Examine the correlation between safety and the Army mission
  • Identify the components of a unit safety program and its ancillary requirements
  • Identify additional safety programs that might be required for unit
  • Plan, prepare, and conduct a survey and out-brief
