Description

Objective:

To train Army career interns in the practical application of leadership values and ethics, as well as the development of individual responsibility and accountability. It also addresses the Army's structure and describes civilian career program progression. Subjects include situation leadership, communication, trust and team building and conflict management and values.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Students who acquire knowledge of the U.S. Army organization and the intern's role in it
  • Relate how their learning style supports the Army's leadership competencies of communication, team development, and decision making and professional ethics
  • Experience team building and group dynamics
  • Recognize leadership styles that provide purpose, direction and motivation and when to use the appropriate style. Students will recall structure, symbols and culture of the U.S. Army. Apply leadership competencies
