Description

Objective:

The course objective is to enable the student to identify and effectively resolve fire and life safety issues and concerns during the facilities lifespan, including; facility design, construction, routine inspection, facility maintenance, occupant fire and life safety education, and the incorporation of fire and life safety into the overall unit safety culture. The participant will utilize key resources (NFPA, OSHA, DOD UFC, and Local Code Requirements) to assist in establishing and maintaining an appropriate level of life safety to protect the facilities occupants and reduce the potential for a catastrophic fire related event from occurring.
