Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide junior Army leaders the knowledge to assist in managing an effective Army Safety Program.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify hazards and develop control measures for system defects using evaluations and survey data
  • Describe the Additional Duty Safety Officer's role in accident prevention
  • Develop and implement safety management systems
  • Apply Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and regulations
  • Analyze tactical and non-tactical operations to identify hazards and mitigate those hazards
  • Initiate an Army ground accident investigation and report findings
