Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide TSOs with a minimum of 60 hours of OJT before they are allowed to make independent judgments with respect to screening persons and property for entry into airport sterile areas or clearing checked baggage.

Learning Outcomes:

  • demonstrate and perform skills that achieve the objectives of each classroom lesson
  • promote progressive independence which will eventually enable the trainee to operate independent of their OJT-C
  • demonstrate proficiency in knowledge and application of the Standard Operating Procedures
  • exhibit command presence through appearance, conduct, and demeanor
  • display command presence helps the officer portray themselves as someone in a position of authority
  • review records regularly and address all concerns immediately
  • complete the OJT in a timely manner and must align with the trainee's projected completion date.
