Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide emergency responders with the skills and knowledge required for certification to Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Incident Commander (IC) as described in the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 472, Standard for Competence of Responders to Hazardous Materials/Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents, Chapter 8, 'Competencies for Incident Commanders' (2013 edition). Participants who successfully complete the course and pass the required written test will receive National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) certification.
