Objective:

The course objective is to review the basics of information security, as well as important topics pertaining to network encryption, firewall systems, authentication, auditing and configurations.

Learning Outcomes:

  • explain a network security plans and policies
  • configure and maintain Cisco ASA 5505 to meet requirements outlined in security policies
  • explain static address translation
  • examine how instruction detection system (IDS) and intrusion prevention system (IPS) can be used for network defense
