Description

Objective:

The course objective is to introduce students to the major functions of management and to explain how companies use management to set and accomplish goals through individuals, groups, and other types of resources. Students will have an opportunity to explore other topics including decision making, employee development, organizational structures, conflict resolution, information security, and globalization.

  • Identify ethical issues in business situations and apply ethical norms to make decisions
  • Explain the opportunities and challenges of globalization
  • Recognize organizational structures and mechanisms for coordination
  • Identify ways to motivate employees and leadership theories and styles
