Description

Objective:

The objective of the course is to prepare you to become Linux+ certified by acquiring fundamental knowledge in Linux system administration.

Learning Outcomes:

  • implement and manage IP addressing and routing in Linux, and capture and analyze network traffic
  • manage Linux processes, daemons, scheduled tasks, logging, and various network services such as DHCP, DNS, NTP, SSH, and to transfer files using SCP and SFTP
  • manage software repositories and packages and build software packages from source code
  • manage Linux configuration files, shells, and environment variables and manage Linux through Ansible and Puppet
  • mitigate common Linux security threats and use cryptography to secure Linux
  • configure Linux authentication and authorization, manage firewall and IDS solutions, and monitor for security incidents
  • harden Linux from the boot process through managing advanced file system security
  • determine when and how to use SELinux and AppArmour to secure Linux hosts
  • create shell scripts using a variety of Linux commands and expressions
  • deploy and manage containerized applications on the Docker platform
  • use Infrastructure as Code and version control in IT environments
  • manage local and remote Linux file systems, network storage, file system permissions, compression, and archiving
