Description

Objective:

The course objective is to help prepare learners for the Microsoft SQL Server 2016: Querying (70-761) certification exam.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Configure T-SQL statements in SQL Server 2016
  • Create T-SQL variables
  • Work with T-SQL control of flow, errors, and transactions
  • Use T-SQL comments and batch separators
  • Use SELECT statements in SQL Server 2016 to query tables and views and manipulate data
  • Work with various clauses with SELECT statements including ORDER BY, TOP, OFFSET, and FETCH
  • Write queries using various SQL Server built-in functions
  • Use aggregate functions such as SUM, MIN, MAX, AVG, and COUNT, as well as the GROUP BY clause
  • Use and create stored procedures
  • Use database programmability objects
  • Change a table-valued expression into another table using the PIVOT and UNPIVOT operators
  • Write subqueries and correlated subqueries
