Description

Objective:

The course objective is for learners to apply the scientific method, explore phenomena, and exercise critical thinking skills using virtual lab simulations from Labster. This lab course reinforces topics from the Anatomy & Physiology II lecture course, such as organ system structure and function relationships, cellular metabolism, immune system function, and developmental biology. To meet the lab requirement, students write lab reports and answer formative quiz questions.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Indicate the structures involved in the movement of blood while demonstrating laboratory safety.
  • Generalize chemical signaling, immunity, and gas exchange in the body.
  • Determine how the body obtains energy and controls the composition of fluids.
  • Identify the basis of science labs, the scientific method, and lab reports.
  • Determine the structures, processes, and genetics involved in human reproduction.
