Description

Objective:

The course objective is to help students build rudimentary yet important leadership skills to successfully improve themselves as well as to lead others. Based on teachings from several business books such as Tipping Point, Good to Great, Monday Morning Leadership, Getting to Yes, etc. and summarized in the form of a book 'Cultivate Your Leader', this fundamental leadership course allows students to identify their core strengths, values, and beliefs to identify and define their leadership journey while building long lasting habits to achieve success.

  • Apply process excellence principles to address problems which affect current work environment and career growth
  • Formulate the framework for lifelong learning and development
  • Recognize what it means to be a leader along with the responsibility that comes with leadership
  • Develop the values that define you as a leader by understanding the values of inspirational leaders from all walks of life and applying them to your values
  • Define your definition of knowledge and then develop your personal mission, vision, and annual goals to comply with your definition of success
  • Formulate better relationships with others for improved productivity by understanding your personality styles, recognizing the styles of others to contrast differences to meet them halfway

  • Start at the top, easier said than done, don't fall for everything, know thyself, begin with end in mind, eat the frog, the proof is in the pudding, it's all about relationships, keep on trucking, and technology as an enabler
