Objective:

To provide students with the second of a two part series of an introductory level life-span psychology course. Learning Outcomes:

  • Will understand the more complex thought process that occurs in adulthood and the physical factors of the human body as well as the way these change as we progress into old age
  • Have knowledge of the many factors that affect the quality of life in late adulthood, including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and a change that happens in thought process that disrupts secondary memory as well as disengagement, activity, and continuity-
  • Have knowledge of the nature and consequences of the physical, cognitive, and psychosocial development that occurs during adolescence and how the human body and mind transform into adulthood
