Description

Objective:

The course objective is to provide students with the entry-level knowledge and skills necessary to safely participate in scuba dives to a depth of 60 feet/18 meters, or shallower.

Learning Outcomes:

  • plan and conduct recreational dives without instructor supervision while applying the knowledge and skills the student learned in this course, within the limits of their training and experience
  • understand how to obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other dive services
  • plan, conduct and log open water dives when equipped properly and accompanied by a buddy in conditions in which the student has training and/or experience
  • explain the importance of continuing their diver training by completing PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course, and/or in PADI Specialty courses
