Description

Objective:

To reinforce statistical and mathematical techniques used in contract price analysis, advanced pre-award pricing decisions, post-award decisions, and general contract pricing issues.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Define price index numbers
  • Calculate the government's price estimate using both the rational method and price adjustment formula
  • Use price indexes to calculate government price estimates and compute from the spreadsheet templates
  • Perform price-related market research
  • Conduct price analysis
  • Calculate the percentage price differences between any two time periods
  • Make price-related decisions in simplified acquisitions, sealed bidding, and negotiated procurements in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
