## Objective:

The course objective is to introduce the student to basic probability theory and descriptive statistics.

## Learning Outcomes:

• Classify statistical data
• Compare statistical data
• Compute the probabilities of events
• Analyze statistical data using appropriate probability distributions
• Evaluate statistical data using appropriate probability distributions
• Apply central limit theorem to describe inferences
• As well as compare hypothesis testing techniques, including single and multi-sample tests for means and standard deviations
• Differentiate statistical data
• Construct confidence intervals to estimate means and standard deviations for populations
