Description

Objective:

The course objective is to prepare students in becoming a certified associate in the design and deployment of applications and systems on the AWS platform.

Learning Outcomes:

  • use AWS encryption key and PKI services to secure network connectivity and protect data at rest
  • create and manage IAM users and groups to secure AWS authentication and authorization
  • manage multiple AWS accounts centrally, manage instance inventory tracking, and automate cloud deployments through CloudFormation
  • outline cost-saving techniques and track monthly spending using AWS tools
  • select the best directory service solution to accommodate user authentication needs and configure the appropriate network security firewall solutions to meet AWS service and app needs
  • use AWS services to proactively plan for the minimization of service disruption and data corruption
  • deploy and manage S3 bucket creation, object management and object storage tiers, as well as when to use Storage Gateway and CloudFront
  • deploy and configure VPCs, subnets and Elastic IPs to address cloud network needs
  • deploy and manage Linux and Windows EC2 instances, use common remote management tools, and manage instance hibernation and monitor performance
  • deploy network security solutions to minimize the impact of network security threats to AWS resources
