Description

Objective:

The course objective is to strengthen Child and Youth Services as a business enterprise. By the end of this course, students will understand and have the tools necessary to analyze and configure an effective and efficient program to sustain quality affordable programming for children and youth. Students will examine floor plans, staffing, business rules, ratios, funding per space as well as marketing, internal controls, and financial tools available to create a financially sound program. Students will participate in and have hands on practice of each element of planning and configuring a mock garrison’s CYS program.

  • Demonstrate fundamental comprehension of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Enterprise
  • Analyze each planning tool component to make program planning decisions
  • Right size labor by applying CYS guidelines, business rules and best practices
  • Interpret and apply tools and protocols for CYS program financial management
