The course objective is to strengthen Child and Youth Services as a business enterprise. By the end of this course, students will understand and have the tools necessary to analyze and configure an effective and efficient program to sustain quality affordable programming for children and youth. Students will examine floor plans, staffing, business rules, ratios, funding per space as well as marketing, internal controls, and financial tools available to create a financially sound program. Students will participate in and have hands on practice of each element of planning and configuring a mock garrison’s CYS program.
