Description

Objective:

To provide the student with a solid foundation in network hardware and operating system knowledge as well as the hands-on training necessary to succeed in the Network+ Certification program.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Create and lay out network cables
  • Establish fault tolerance and redundancy across the network
  • Choose the appropriate network design
  • Define the OSI model
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network hardware components and software such as installing network interface cards and resolving IRQ conflicts
  • Install and troubleshoot network operating systems
  • Identify good practices to ensure network security
  • Explain routing and network layer concepts
  • Understand the fundamentals of TCP/IP
