Objective:

To provide a basic understanding of the principles, functions, and practices of Federal Employee Relations.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe the major functions associated with the Employee Relations office and the major duties of the Employee Relations Specialist
  • Identify and articulate the appropriate employee relations response in addressing issues related to disciplinary actions
  • Understand the principles, practices, and methods used in administering an effective Federal Employee Relations Program
  • Conduct cyber research in support of referencing the appropriate Code of Regulations (CFR), Office of Personnel Management (OPM) guidelines, and significant cases
