Description

Objective:

To develop basic leadership and teaming skills and to focus on the competencies of leadership, teaming, customer service, problem solving, self-direction, flexibility, interpersonal skills, conflict management, decisiveness, written communications, oral communications, and valuing diversity.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Upon successful completion of this course, the student will have a better understanding of the learning process
  • Be able to identify the management skills and competencies needed for leaders
  • And participate in and facilitate self-directed teams
  • Prepare an individual development plan
  • Identify managers and executives who can serve as career role models and mentors for them
